    Professional Organizers & Coaches - Some members need a more hands-on approach and will need the onsite assistance of a Professional Organizer. We offer Professional Organizers access clients who are prepared, educated in the services and methodology that Professional Organizers perform, have a plan readymade for them to implement, and in your service area!

    Related Professionals - The Chaos Plan encourages Professional Membership from professionals currently working or employed with CD members, including but not limited to, psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, nurses, social workers, educators, researchers, construction companies and ADD/ADHD coaches. Appropriate proof of credential (such as membership in professional association, state license or certificate of training) within your field is required with your application.

What is the "Professional Membership"?

The Professional Membership was created with you, the business owner in mind. After years of working as a small business owner we know that the professionals working with clients to get and stay organized need a strong support system as well.

Through our Professional Membership we have developed an all encompassing way for Professional Organizers and related professionals to promote their services online, network with other professionals, and develop your business. By joining The Chaos Plan, we will send you referrals for organizing clients and offer you a multitude of exclusive opportunities to market and expand your business -- only available to members!

Is a Professional Membership expensive?

Absolutely not! We created the Professional Membership with small business owners in mind. The low annual membership of $149.95 includes a multitude of benefits which more than cover the cost of your membership price. The low annual membership is less expensive than one newspaper advertisement and has a far great reach to a focused market!

How do I get referrals?

Members join The Chaos Plan to get organizing help. They fill out a fairly detailed form, telling us where they are located and what kind of organizing help they need and how they work best. We then provide each client with a plan to get organized. Sometimes the member may need additional help in the form of hands-on Professional Organizing services, counseling, other services or information. We offer a referral service to the member to Professionals in our Professional Membership which allows the member and professional to work together in whatever capacity they deem appropriate.

What kind of services can I offer?

Anything related to helping people get and stay organized! Any service from therapy and counseling, to hands-on Professional Organizing, event planning, coaching, construction, etc ‐ are welcome the only requirement is that you are a Professional Member!

How will I receive my referrals?

First, we give your phone number and e-mail and a link to the online resume we create for you out to the client, so he or she can contact you. We will then send you an e-mail or fax notifying you of the referral -- including the client's contact information and requested services. It will be your responsibility to follow-up with that client in whatever manner you feel most appropriate (phone, e-mail, on-site visit).

How do you share my information with clients?

Through your Professional Member Profile members will be able to view your detailed information that outlines your background, your organizing philosophy, testimonials from your clients, and your references. When we suggest you as a referral for a member, that member will receive a link to your Professional Membership Profile -- so they can "get to know you" before they consider hiring you. Many professionals ask if we divulge to the member anything about your fees -- and the answer is no. How much you choose to charge for your services is strictly between you and the member.

Do you tell members my fees?

No. The Chaos Plan offers a referral service between members and Professional Members. After the referral has been made, the business relationship is between the member and the Professional Member. The Chaos Plan does not disclose Professional Member fees or manage member/Professional Member business relationships.

I live in a rural area, is it worth it to become a Professional Member?

Yes. Although we may not have as many member requests for Professional services in rural areas or areas with smaller populations, the Professional Membership benefits are not limited to attaining clients. Business development, networking & collaboration, and other opportunities may arise from The Chaos Plan Professional Membership and the exclusive way to get those referrals and opportunities is by becoming a Professional Member!

How many referrals do you give a client?

We give each member up to three referrals for Professional Members in their area. This allows each member choices and the opportunity to select a professional based on preference. As you know, not every member is a good match for every professional -- and vice versa. Just as we like for you to have a choice of member so you can find the people you will work best with, we like to do the same for our members. We like for them to have a choice of prices, backgrounds, work styles, and personalities.

Do I need to have a website to join?

No. We provide individual Professional Member profile pages which act as mini websites. All you need to do is fill out your profile page with information such as name, phone number, E-mail address, etc.

Do I have to be a member of NAPO to join?

No. The Chaos Plan is open to any Professional Organizer or Related Professional regardless of affiliation. Appropriate proof of credential (such as membership in professional association, state license or certificate of training) within your field is required with your application.

What if I sell organizing products?

We can help you sell your products via the internet, by offering them through our online shopping cart. We understand that setting up an e-commerce website can be expensive for just a few products -- that's why we've done all the work for you. We take responsibility for marketing your products, accepting credit card payments, tracking orders, and handling customer service issues. Your only responsibility is for shipping and fulfillment -- and you receive a check at the end of the month for your orders. For more information contact our Affiliate Program.

Can I get referrals to coach or work with other organizers and professionals?

Absolutely! The Professional Membership Forum is designed to network and build business relationships. We are dedicated to building the profession of organizing and improving businesses through mentoring, collaborating, and coaching is all a part of that goal.

What is your affiliate program all about?

When you sign up as an affiliate, will provide you with both a graphic and a text link to TheChaosPlan.com that you can place on your website. Every time someone follows that link back to our website, our database keeps track of any purchases made during his or her visit. As an affiliate partner, you will be paid a 5% commission on any sales you bring us. You will receive a check every quarter for your percentage. Remember, the more heavily you promote TheChaosPlan.com on your site, the more potential sales you generate!
